Pressure is building on the Ashburn District (which includes parts of Lansdowne and Ashburn) to pack high-density high-rise apartment buildings in our area when the metro stop opens next year. Mick Staton opposes this because this population explosion will clog our roads, increase pollution and crowd our schools.
Mick’s opponent helped draft the plan that calls for 10,000+ apartments and he wants even more! In the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce 2019 questionnaire Mick’s opponent answered a question about affordable housing by saying, “I think the answer may lie in authorizing much higher densities around the metro stops.”
Mick Staton will oppose density packing Ashburn and Lansdowne.
On November 5th, vote for Mick Staton for Ashburn District Supervisor to stop over-development and protect our family-friendly neighborhoods.
